You need a lot of courage to be an artist in the any sphere of art, because art usually contains person's feelings and you should be really plucky to flaunt your feelings and emotions. Also, if we are talking about the art, then we should mention the fact, that artists, writers, sculptors and musicians are subjected to criticism. You need to be courageous to withstand any criticism.

And show not only the work, but your emotions, your feelings. And not everyone can express it, not everyone can show a part of himself.
